  1. =====  This Board's Power Problems  ====================  BULLETIN # 6  =====

  3.   This board has been experiencing short power failures regularly for
  4.   the past 90 days.  I have gotton with Utah Power & Light on several
  5.   occasions to see if they could solve the problem.  Their response
  6.   has been "It's in your wiring..."
  7.  
  8.   Big help!!  Well - I don't think it is in the wiring since the neighbors
  9.   are experiencing the same problems I am.  What occurs is that the power
  10.   drops off line for just about 1 second.  The computer of course goes
  11.   down at that time - usually not gracefully.  Since the power usually
  12.   surges right back on - the computer does not have enough time off-line
  13.   to reset itself and therefore the board never comes back up!

  15.   I have installed what I hope is the solution.  It is an interrupt timer
  16.   made by AGASTAT - Part # SSC12ACA ,1-30 second adjustable.  What it does
  17.   is close a relay when power is supplied.  If power is dropped - even for
  18.   a second - the relay opens and will not reclose until the time specified
  19.   has expired.  I have set it for 10 seconds.  Even if you get dumped in
  20.   the middle of a call - at least the board will come back on-line in
  21.   about 10 seconds.  Hope that solves the problem...
